The Swedish ship Gotheborg has been built according to traditional methods and with the same raw materials that were used in the 18th century. The ship is on a voyage from Sweden to China via Perth. It will be arriving on May 13 2006, departing Leighton Beach between 8.00am and 9.30am and arriving at Victoria Quay (between C and D shed) between 10.00am and 12.00am.

The Kidogo Art House in Fremantle have a wonderful exhibition titled Herbarium Amoris, a tribute to Carl Linnaeus by Edvard Knoinberg.

Is there anything Swedish in Perth that Miss Maud is not involved in? Miss Maud's Decadence Chocolate Cake is our family favourite cake for special celebrations. They are ordered, specially made fresh and collected on the day. Fresh light sponge cake, combined with layers of chocolate and white cream, covered in white cream and curles of milk and white chocolate.

It is always a calculated decision to buy Miss Maud's cakes with price and quality being the main considerations. Miss Mauds do have the most fabulous pieces of not only chocolate cake but individual cakes and slices of cakes muffins, danish pastry, caramel pecan pies, chocolate eclairs, apple strudel slices, plus slices of princess cake, french chocolate torte, black forest, lenas, and mud cake line the glass cabinets.

Daim are a chocolate imported from Sweden. They are a thin layer of crunchy and caramelly nutty toffee covered in a thin layer of milk chocolate. Very nice, but do we really need imported chocolates?
